Women’s lives are not composed along linear lines, rather we live at the crossroads of race and gender inequity, economic hardships, low employment and for many, a lack of access to health care options. South LA NOW is addressing theses issues by leveraging the strengths of South LA  community and neighborhood identity, parent involvement, community based organizations, and civic engagement – to empower women towards wellness.
